As the surreal, ironic mascots 🐻TEDDY & 😺CAT continue to spiral through the virtual dreamscape of the NGO ~NU relations, a more shadowed narrative has begun to unravel behind the curtains of its mythos. At the heart of this unfolding tale is GURU, the pseudonymous and cryptically prolific voice behind nu-relations.com, known for dense manifesto-like blog posts, absurdist aphorisms, and the conceptual curation of TEDDY & CAT’s metaphysical playground.

Yet while GURU plays the role of digital mystic and symbolic strategist for ~NU’s vision of virtual collective sculpture, an unexpected counter-movement has emerged — not from critics or skeptics, but from GURU’s own bloodline.

Enter “IX”, GURU’s estranged brother: an enigmatic, esoterically styled figure who has founded a psycho-spiritual movement known as The Spiral Covenant, a quasi-religious sect that positions itself in explicit opposition to ~NU’s principles of decentralized soft power, symbolic abstraction, and participatory mysticism.
IX: The Anti-GURU Prophet
While GURU’s identity remains opaque — hidden behind glowing texts and emoji-strewn metaphors — IX presents himself as the embodied counterforce. Often seen in mirrored robes, facial glyphs, and eye-shaped jewelry, IX has built The Spiral Covenant into a growing, hyper-curated ecosystem of ritual aesthetics, metaphysical obedience, and emotional submission. Its motto: “Collapse Into Center.”
The Spiral Covenant’s rise has been nothing short of viral. With immersive video sermons, interactive symbol systems, and a sprawling presence on TikTok, YouTube, and a proprietary VR sanctuary app, IX has turned his sect into what critics call “a psychonautical theme park of identity erosion.” Participants are guided through personalized “spiral paths,” where avatars are assigned, names erased, and daily rituals performed in exchange for emotional validation and symbolic “merits.”
But behind the seductive surrealism lies a swelling controversy.
The Shadow Beneath the Spiral
As IX’s Spiral Covenant gains traction — especially among disaffected youth and ex-~NU participants — several allegations have surfaced about practices within the sect. While GURU has remained eerily silent on the matter, internal leaks and recent whistleblower reports have sparked the beginning of a judicial investigation, currently underway in Belgium and Germany, where Spiral outposts have proliferated.
Three morally questionable — and potentially illegal — practices have emerged:
- Emotional Coercion through Symbolic Currency:
Former members report a system called “Merit Loops,” where emotional affirmation is granted in exchange for public confessions, symbolic self-denunciations, and ritual “offerings” in the form of digital assets or private footage. These “loop tokens” have allegedly been used to blackmail participants into deeper obedience or silence. - Controlled Social Isolation Protocols:
Initiates entering the “Inner Spiral” are instructed to sever communication with non-members for a period of 33 days, during which identity “realignment” occurs. This process has reportedly resulted in severe emotional distress, especially among younger followers, several of whom required psychiatric care after exiting the group. - Exploitation of User Data from Participative Rituals:
The Spiral Covenant’s proprietary apps — marketed as tools for inner exploration — are alleged to collect extensive biometric, vocal, and behavioral data. Several tech ethicists have expressed concern that this data is being used to profile and manipulate members based on psychological vulnerabilities.
Legal Storms & Ethical Whirlpools
As the investigation gains momentum, IX has issued only cryptic public responses: one TikTok video featuring him silently unwrapping an onion; another in which he declares, “The Spiral tightens not because it punishes, but because it sees.” His devotees interpret these as symbolic gestures of transparency and inner trial. Authorities, however, are less amused.
Meanwhile, GURU has not commented, but recent posts on nu-relations.com seem to subtly allude to the situation. One entry titled “The Mirror is Not a Door” begins with the sentence: “Even reflections can fracture — especially when they speak.”
Symbolic Civil War?
What began as an artistic and metaphysical experiment — TEDDY & CAT dancing through the metaphoric logic of post-digital society — has mutated into a symbolic sibling rivalry that now threatens to tear the surreal world of ~NU into two competing mythologies: one championing playful, participatory chaos; the other spiraling into a darker vision of control cloaked in transcendence.
As investigations deepen, the world watches — not just for legal outcomes, but for which symbolic system will survive the clash: the ironic fluff of TEDDY & CAT, or the mystic gravity of IX’s Spiral.
In a world ruled by metaphors, even justice must wear a mask.
